About Me
In addition to teaching and research, I enjoy yoga, bouldering, woodworking, a good game of chess, gardening, and the company of my two cats. I have traveled extensively in the Middle East, and lived for many years in Lebanon, Morocco, Egypt, and Palestine. When appropriate, I try to draw on my experiences from my time abroad to enrich my classes and encourage my students’ curiosities about the larger world. Below are just a few snapshots!
